Pray for special personal requests among the members
- Boyd and Jennie – Boyd’s leg is returning to normal function and range of motion. The swelling and pain are minimized. We’re thankful for great doctors, excellent insurance, and a loving church.
- Boyd and Jennie – We’re grateful for good friendships on the seminary campus and through First Baptist New Orleans. Each of the children has someone they can call a good friend. Jennie attended the Winter Women’s retreat with ladies from our church.
- Boyd and Jennie – We’re thankful the children will be able to participate in sports programming. Mallory will be a part of a local swim team. Madison and Mason are playing Upward basketball. Miles will play soccer in the spring.
- Cornel and Erica – thank you for praying for our girls that God would draw them to trust in Jesus early in their lives
- Abbey – Please continue to pray for my family, especially my mom. She is now having to deal with some legal matters surrounding my dad’s hospital care before his death, and it has been extremely stressful.
- Abbey – Please pray for the continued health and growth for my sister-in-law’s twin girls which are due to be born in May or June.
- Cameron and Jennifer – We have had a lot of issues with Micah’s emotions and his desires to return back to the states. He pretty much was an emotional wreck for the last two months and it’s been a heart ache for us. PRAISE GOD our old Micah has returned and seems to be turning a corner. We’ve seen wonderful results of answered prayers and God’s leadership in our family as He walked us through this journey of heart ache for Micah. Pray that we would continue to be sensitive to the needs Micah shows in the future and for direction for his next semester of school. National school has contributed to some of this emotional backlash and so we are just taking things one day and one prayer at a time. We know God will continue to lead us and our children but we appreciate the prayers!
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
Pray for specific events February events
Gef – please pray for me as I leave on February 24th. Pray for my son who will be coming to help me with my luggage. Pray that everyone and everything will arrive safely. Pray that the Lord will place in my son’s heart an urgency to return to Him!
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7)

- Please be in prayer for the Silby family as they come back to Brno the first week of February. Pray that they will bring back a fresh new excitement for the Roma work here and in Slovakia. Pray also that they will have safe travels on their way. (per Randy and Dawn Nicholas)
Randy and Dawn Nicholas
- Pray for Randy Nicholas and M N as they discuss possible partnering with a new group in a city outside of Brno. M is preaching to them and Randy needs wisdom to access the possibility of “company” involvement.
Jerry and Brenda Goss
- Please pray for the Roma villages in central Slovakia to become open and that we can have hearts and homes open to the gospel message.
- Please pray for the Roma church as they face obstacles from a multitude of clans mixing together. The church is growing fast in Nottingham, England, but as they grow there are growing pains and willingness to the direction of God needs to be sought after by all.
- Pray for the Roma villages in Poland that have had 3 teams from Norway recently, that the work God has done will last and keep growing.
- Pray for safety while driving. We travel many kilometers of snow filled roads through many mountainous areas to minister to the Roma people.
- Please pray for the FETE project here in Poland-Slovakia.
Bob and Gayle Hill
- Pray for our new sister in Christ, Simona. She was saved when our IWC team was here for their pre-project visit. Pray that she will have courage to stand boldly, even in the face of family and friends who are not believers, and who do not understand her new life.
- Pray for our friend, Justin, who is living and working in the Ciuta/Badila area of Romania. Pray that he will boldly share the truth of the Word to a people who are bound by legalism and tradition. Pray for the young people and leaders to be open to his presence and to the message he brings.
- Pray that we will have more IWC participants to join our team before the cut-off date in March. We have room for 18 more to join us in Ciuta and Badila for this project.
Daniel Byrd
- Please pray for my ministry in a village called Camarasu. This year for my annual winter camp I must say I was organized. Everything, including the menu was prepared in advanced, which for me was amazing. After returning to the church the pastor complained about the food and some of the helpers; and this was the very first time this had ever happened. There is conflict between the pastor and myself for the first time. Please pray as the youth are very upset, and I just desire to continue to ask God to do great things in this church plant.
- One of my goals this year is to do memory verses in the Roma language. I am so struggling with this; please pray I will be faithful to try hard to learn these verses and understand the language more than ever, for I am a gypsy.
Please pray for a new village – Sarmasu; only prayer walked and talked with a couple of people so far.
Cornel and Erica Tuns
- Last night we met as every Sunday night, with students for Bible study and prayed for Ciorogarla (the town w/o an evangelical witness) in order to organize another day when to go witnessing–pray for much fruit to remain for the glory of God, and praise the Lord for another student as a new addition to our Sunday night Bible study!
- Please pray for Union team coming in March to GO witnessing with us
- Please pray for the Roma Bible Institute meeting in February, and my preparation to teach the Gospel of John to the church planters
- (see personal requests)
Tim Marza
- Pray for T and his family who is very interested in knowing more about God
- Pray for R who wants to praise God by music.
- Pray for the many Gypsies who did not even know what we celebrate at Christmas, except one teenager who knew that at Easter we celebrate eggs.
- Pray for Ostia Baptist Church that shows a sincere inclination to help Gypsies.
Betty Easter
- Please pray for “N”, an older Roma lady living in Shutka. She has several health problems, plus is being hit by her son. There are no places here, such as a battered women’s shelter, for abused women to seek refuge. Please pray for “N”, as well as for other abused Roma women. These ladies need a Savior – for their eternity, as well as for their present life. Pray that the Lord, who knows every need of His creation, would remove their veil of blindness, so that they could receive the Word that will bring them life. Pray that God would create a way of protection in this life for these abused women.
- In Macedonia, many people use wood stoves to heat their homes in the winter. For “N’s” granddaughter, 7 years old, this created an accident where the young girl has some severe burns. Please pray for healing for this young girl. Pray that the family would keep her burns clean, to prevent infection.
- Pray for “N’s” son – who desperately needs a Savior. Pray that God will give him ears to hear, the will to repent and the gift of God for faith and the acceptance of Jesus as His Savior.
Gef Smock
- Pray that my eye doctor will continue to meet with me so that I can witness to her.
- Pray that S and N, my close Roma family, will continue to listen to God’s word through the 2 Bible studies in which they are now participating
- Pray that S and N will continue to attend the Bible studies and the Shutka church even after I leave
- Pray that the newly formed Shutka ladies Bible study will continue and that the ladies will grow in their faith
- Pray that my focus will remain firmly on ministry during my final days in Macedonia
- (see February month requests)
Karen Blackburn
- Pray for the restarting of a Roma Bible study with one family. Pray that their ears will be open. We will be studying the life of Jesus leading up to Easter.
Abbey Hammond
- Please pray that I would equip others to continue the ministry after I’m gone.
- Pray that I will be “all here” these last six months of my term–that I will focus on the work I’m doing now and not on the future.
- Pray that I would have wisdom and discernment in leading the two women’s Bible studies–that I will know how to teach them to study the Word for themselves.
- Pray for continued language learning.
- (see personal requests)
Cameron and Jennifer Phillips
Cheryl Argabright
- I am so thankful that God has opened the door to visit with the children in one of our orphanages. Please pray that friendships will be made and that there will be opportunities to share the gospel.
- Please pray with me about finding a place to meet with our Saturday morning girls club. It is too cold to meet outside, and the girls still want to meet, but we need a meeting place.
